چکیده
Effect of cerium (Ce) on creep strength and microstructure 316LN austenitic stainless steel (316LN steel) at 700 °C/150 MPa was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (STEM) thermodynamic calculations. Addition 0.032 wt% Ce to results in a prominent increase life from 313 556 h. enriches titanium nitride nanoparticles, increases slightly the activity diffusion coefficient Mo, facilitates formation fine dense intragranular Laves phase precipitates. Thus is remarkably enhanced addition through precipitation strengthening. It reveals new insight into improvement effect rare earth (RE) elements such as steels, which inspired design RE-microalloying heat-resistant steels.

On the Constitutive Model of Nitrogen-Containing Austenitic Stainless Steel 316LN at Elevated Temperature
The nitrogen-containing austenitic stainless steel 316LN has been chosen as the material for nuclear main-pipe, which is one of the key parts in 3rd generation nuclear power plants. In this research, a constitutive model of nitrogen-containing austenitic stainless steel is developed. The true stress-true strain curves obtained from isothermal hot compression tests over a wide range of temperatu...
متن کاملAn evaluation of weld metal nitrogen retention and properties in 316LN austenitic stainless steel
A series of tests were conducted using varying levels of nitrogen and helium in a conventional argon shielding gas when welding 316LN austenitic stainless steel. The outcome was that a 15 per cent nitrogen addition to the argon shielding gas had the most significant effect on increasing the weld metal nitrogen. Subsequent additions of helium to the argon 15 per cent nitrogen shielding gas had v...
متن کاملSTUDY THE WEAR MECHANISM OF A PLASMA ELECTROLYTIC NITROCARBURISED (PEN/C) 316L AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL
The wear mechanism of plasma electrolytic nitrocarburised (PEN/C) 316L stainless steel samples was studied after a pin on disc wear test. The surface morphology of samples after application of PEN/C process was studied using scanning electron microscope technique. The sliding tracks resulting from the wear tests on the treated specimens indicated no signs of plastic deformation and adhesive wea...
متن کاملCreep and Fatigue Interaction Behavior in Sanicro 25 Heat Resistant Austenitic Stainless Steel
Sanicro 25 is a newly developed advanced high strength heat resistant austenitic stainless steel. The material shows good resistance to steam oxidation and flue gas corrosion, and has higher creep rupture strength than other austenitic stainless steels available today. It is thus an excellent candidate for superheaters and reheaters for advanced ultra-super critical power plants with efficiency...
